Abstract

This final project is a study that explores teaching strategies to teach English pronunciation for EFL students during the Covid 19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to explain the strategies used by English teachers at SMPN 1 Comal and SMPN 1 Ampelgading to teach English pronunciation during the Covid 19 pandemic and to explain how to implement the strategies used by English teachers at SMPN 1 Comal and SMPN 1 Ampelgading to students during the pandemic. There are 3 classes of students, each of which has 32 students, and 3 English teachers who are the subjects of this study. This study uses questionnaires and interviews for data collection. The data that has been obtained was then processed using descriptive analysis. This study uses qualitative research methods. The results of this study are teaching strategies to teach English pronunciation for EFL students used by SMPN 1 Comal and SMPN 1 Ampelgading teachers, namely drilling using video as a medium to implement these strategies for students during a pandemic. Based on the results of the questionnaire strategies used by the teacher, which is drilling with video as the medium, it can make it easier for students to learn English pronunciation during a pandemic so that students are able to improve their pronunciation skills.
