Abstract
Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic had many shortcomings and obstacles, causing students to experience a decrease in the quality of learning to speak and experience learning loss. Therefore, teachers must implement teaching strategies that can overcome student learning problems in the postpandemic period. This study explores the teacher strategies in teaching speaking during the post-pandemic. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method with qualitative-case study as research design. The data collection used in this research are observation and interviews. The research aims to describe the use of teacher teaching strategies in teaching speaking in the post-pandemic period. The findings from this study are that in carrying out the learning process the teacher used 5 methods in her teaching strategy, namely: the grammartranslation method, the direct method, the audio-lingual method, community language learning, communicative language teaching, and outdoor learning. In implementing the teaching strategies the teacher experienced 3 obstacles, learning loss, decreased enthusiasm, and a lack of student interest to learn English. Students respond well to the use of the teacher's teaching strategies, they feel helped and can improve their speaking skills.
