Abstract

This research aimed to find out the students’ perception on the effect of Google Classroom on students’ writing skill. The researcher used qualitative design. The study involved six class of the eight-grade students according to the teacher suggestion. The researcher used a questionnaire and interview to obtain the data of the students’ perception. The findings showed the total score of student responses on the students’ perception using questionnaire stating that Strongly Agree on all statements is 295, the total score of student responses stating Agree on all statements is 861, the total score of student responses stating Neutral on all statements is 1082, the total score of student responses stating Disagree on all statements is 344, and the total score for student responses stating Strongly Disagree on all statements is 79. The percentage is calculated on students' perceptions of using google classroom as much as 41% are in the neutral category, 3% in the strongly disagree category, 13% in the disagree category and 32% in the agree category and 11% in the strongly agree category. Based on these data, it is known that students' perceptions of the use of Google Classroom have a positive tendency of 43%, the perception of students with a negative tendency is 16%, and the perception of students who are neutral is 41%.
