Abstract

This research titled is “Code Switching of Bon Cop Bad Cop Movie ''. This research aims to give information about types, causes of Code Switching in Bon Cop Bad Cop movie and implications for learning. The data consists of two different languages, Prancis and English. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. The theories used are code switching by Hoffman and Saville-Troike. Based on the analysis, there are 62 code switching data consisting of eighteen Tag Code Switching, twenty-eight Intrasentential Code Switching, and sixteen Intersentential Code Switching.The Causes of code switching found on analysis are 1) talking about a particular topic; 2) being emphatic about something; 3) interjection; 4) repetition used for clarification; 5) express identity; 6)clarification of the speech content; 7) to soften or strengthen command, dan 8)because of the real lexical need.
