Abstract
Lecturers are a living asset in an educational institution, therefore performance as a lecturer's output in a certain time has a vital role in determining the quality of the institution and the output of the institution. Many factors can affect the performance of lecturers, this is a concern of stakeholders, especially the leadership to manage all the factors supporting and inhibiting the performance of lecturers. The objectives of this study include testing how big the role of transformational leadership, organizational culture, competence, and creativity is. This study uses quantitative research methods with data analysis techniques Multivariate Structural Equation Model (SEM). The population in this study were lecturers from the Ministry of transportation with the requirement to have academic positions as many as 145 lecturers from 10 colleges and polytechnics spread throughout Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the performance of lecturers is dominantly influenced by creativity by 41,6%. To increase the creativity of lecturers by paying attention to the dimensions of the process which are the dominant dimensions in the formation of work creativity. In conclusion, lecturers can improve their performance through increasing creativity in work, especially in the work process by paying attention to all elements. Novelty in this study proposes a performance model for lecturers at the marine matra colleges of the Transportation Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Transportation by considering external factors, namely transformational leadership and organizational culture, and internal factors, namely competence, and creativity.
