Abstract
Coffee commodities at this time of increasing existence are needed by humans. Coffee farmers in order to have competitive coffee products must have a good competitiveness strategy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of competitiveness strategies on competitive advantage and comparative advantage. This research method uses quantitative research. The population used is coffee farmers located in Wonoboyo District, Temanggung Regency as many as 617 people. Sampling techniques use proportional random sampling techniques. The sample in this study was 105 people. The variables of this study are competitiveness strategy (independent), kempetitive advantage, and comparative advantage as dependent variables. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the competitiveness strategy had a significant effect on the competitive advantage of coffee commodities. The competitiveness strategy has a significant impact on the comparative advantages of coffee commodities. This means that if farmers have a good competitiveness strategy then competitive advantage and comparative advantage will also be good. Conversely, if the competitiveness strategy used is not good then competitive advantage and comparative advantage will also be less good. The right strategy at this time to increase competitiveness and comparative advantage is the use of modern technology in managing coffee yields. The conclusion in this study is that competitiveness strategies can increase the competitive advantage of coffee commodities. Competitiveness strategies can increase the comparative advantage of coffee commodities. The right strategy is to use modern technology. Advice for farmers should be the use of modern technology applied to increase the selling value of coffee and expand the coffee sales market.
