Abstract

Soil in Indonesia at 69% is in the severe category with the indicator that the quality of the rice planted is not comparable to the effort expended by the farmers. The scarcity of farmers who have the attitude to pay attention to the condition of influential policies in regulating environmental behavior. Sedulur Sikep, who is a traditional farmer, depends on agriculture for his life by carrying out agricultural practices that are in harmony with nature and guided by values that have been passed down from generation to generation. This study aims to identify the value of Sedulur Sikep's local wisdom in agriculture, analyze efforts to conserve Sedulur Sikep's agricultural land, and analyze the pattern of inheritance of Sedulur Sikep's local wisdom. This research is a qualitative research conducted in the Sedulur Sikep Village Community in Klopoduwur Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency. Sources of data in this study came from primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using technical triangulation with data analysis carried out through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the local wisdom of Sedulur Sikep Klopoduwur Village is in the form of values, customs, and philosophy/view of life. Agricultural activities carried out by them include land preparation, preparation of seeds/seeds, tillage, planting, fertilizing, weeding, water management, eradicating pests/diseases, and treating after planting as well as carrying out vegetative conservation and mechanical conservation. The inheritance of Sedulur Sikep includes land inheritance and cultural value inheritance which is carried out through imitation, identification and socialization processes and is carried out by means of participation and guidance so that the inheritance of local wisdom values is vertical, horizontal and oblique so that it can survive to this day. This research suggests that there should be supervision in the provision of subsidized chemical fertilizers and the provision of irrigation facilities for the community. This study proposes suggestions that the local government, related agencies, and the community can support the implementation of paddy field management based on local wisdom and facilitate the activity of making Sedulur Sikep cow urine bio so that it can be developed on a large scale so that it can be utilized by other farmers to realize sustainable agriculture that produces optimal and environmentally friendly product.
