Abstract

The people of the Lingga Cultural Village still believe that the existence of the Lingga Cultural Village does not bring significant benefits to their daily lives. There are still many people who still do not care about the surrounding environment. The arrangement and management of tourist attractions has received less attention from the local government and the people around the Lingga cultural village. The purpose of this study was to describe the environmental care behavior of the people of the Budaya Lingga Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency and to analyze the influence of the community's environmental care behavior on the management of the Cultural Lingga Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency. The population in this study was the KK (Head of Family) of Dusun II, Lingga Village. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula and obtained a total sample of 54 respondents. The variables in this study are the environmental care behavior of the community and the management of the Lingga cultural village. Data collection is done by direct observation. The analysis technique used in this study is a percentage descriptive analysis technique and a simple linear regression analysis technique. Data collection methods are using questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that community behavior was included in the good criteria, which was seen from the indicators of good water management and the environment around the house with an average criterion of 62.67%, good tourism supporting facilities with an average criterion of 69.67%, management good waste with an average criterion of 62.67%, good environmental care with an average yield of 67.80%. The behavior of caring for the environment in the management of tourist villages significantly influences each other with a value of 0.000<0.05. Suggestions for this research are the Lingga Culture Village government and managers to continue to improve and monitor the environmental sustainability and cleanliness of the Lingga Culture Village. The Lingga Culture Village Government can conduct negotiations and outreach to the community to create an environmentally conscious program as a form of maximizing village funds in order to optimize activities in the village. Lingga Culture Village community to continue to increase their sense of care for the sustainability of activities related to the environment around them.
