Abstract
In the modern and open era, the notion of nationalism is increasingly being eroded by globalization. The process of globalization is marked by advances in the field of information and communication technology. The flow of globalization has penetrated so quickly into society, especially among young people in everyday life. Based on the results of observations obtained data that students still lack respect for teachers in class, and still lack discipline in obeying the rules, one of which is influenced by changing times . An indication of a national identity crisis is shown by the behavior of young people who are proud of foreign products and cultures. Through teaching history, students are able to discover and grow national identity. The inculcation of the values of nationalism is found in learning the history of the national movement. The purposes of this study are 1) to find out how teachers instill the values contained in the material of the National Movement, 2) to know the students' memory of the material of the National Movement, 3) to know the extent to which students practice the values of Nationalism in the National Movement. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the research location in SMA Negeri 1 Juwana. Sources of data in this study are informants, observations and documents. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique in this study uses four stages including the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions The results of this study 1) the process of instilling the value of nationalism, the teacher carries out planning, material knowledge of the national movement, the values of nationalism that are instilled are the spirit of nationalism, discipline, responsibility, and self-sacrifice. The use of media by Mrs. Novida PPT, LKS books, the internet while Mr. Tri PPT, LKS, concept maps and videos. Using lecture and discussion methods 2) Students' memory about the material of the national movement smart students better understand the birth of nationalism and national movement organizations, students who are not smart enough to know the history of the birth of national movement organizations, 3) instilling the values of nationalism in students by giving examples of existing activities at school and provide a stimulus in the form of video struggles.
