Abstract

Bakaran Batik has a characteristic in the motifs and decorations used, namely a combination of coastal batik motifs and decorations with mature and contrasting colors such as inland batik. The characteristics of Bakaran batik are not all known by the Bakaran village community in particular and the Pati community in general. This is the basis for the author to conduct research Pati Community Appreciation for Batik Bakaran.This study has a purpose, namely 1) To find out the appreciation of the Pati community towards Batik Bakaran Juwana Pati, 2) To find out the factors behind the level of appreciation of Batik Bakaran Juwana Pati.This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative data analysis with the steps of the respondent's data being tabulated and then analyzed with the SPSS 25.0 for Windows program to obtain a description of the results of the appreciation level analysis. The results showed that1) Public appreciation in general is in the high category as indicated by the table of data analysis results, the Pati community has high attention and appreciation for Batik Bakaran Juwana Pati 2) Factors that affect the level of appreciation are internal factors, which are influenced by the ability, perception and aesthetic experience of the Pati community and external factors are influenced by community conditions, geographical location, customs and culture as well as the rules of Pati government institutions.
