Abstract

Speaking is one of the French language skills that has to be teached in XI Mipa 1 SMA N 1 Karangtengah Demak. To facilitate the learning process, we need alternative learning media. One of the media that can be used is “Allez Parler’s” visual media in the form of picture cards. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of picture cards of “Allez Parler” to enhance the speaking students XI Mipa 1 SMA N 1 Karangtengah Demak. This is an experimental research. The design used in this study was one group pre-test post-test. The method used to collect data in this study is the documentation method and the test method. Validity of the instrument was the content validity and the test re-test method was used to measure reliability. The data were analysed by t-test formula. From the calculation of the results, tcount >ttable, 2755>2042. It can be concluded that “Allez Parler” is effective for enhancing the speaking skills of class XI Mipa 1 SMA N 1 Karangtengah Demak.
