Abstract

Durio zibethinus is popular edible durian in Indonesia. Genetic diversity of this species is highest compared to other durian species. Brongkol village is one of superior durian producers. The specialty of Brongkol durian is its sweet and / or bitter taste with white and yellow colors. This research aims to analyze the diversity and identify superior durian in Brongkol using ISSR molecular markers. Twenty-five samples of superior Brongkol durian were isolated using the modified CTAB method. Samples were amplified with 7 ISSR markers by PCR technique and analyzed with 2% agarose gel electrophoresis. Data were analyzed using the NTSYSpc version 2.02 program. The resulting allele ranges from 340-3000 bp. The polymorphic allele is 90.2%. Similarity analysis is worth 0.29-0.95 or a similarity level of 5-100%. All the superior varieties were different accession. Specific alleles are found in B5 and B16. Analysis of the diversity of superior durian Brongkol using 7 ISSR markers was classified as high.
