Abstract

Correspondence activities become one of the success factors of the organization. So that, the management of the correspondence should be done in an effective way. One of them by utilizing the sophistication of the technology of information and communication that is specialized implementation of the system information. Incoming and Outgoing Mail Information Systems (SISUMAKER) has been used for two years by employees of the Immigration Office of Class II Non Immigration Checkpoint Pati for supporting the correspondence activities. However, based on the observation found that there are 37.1% of users have not felt the benefits or impact of the implementation of the system. This research is to measure the effectiveness of SISUMAKER by analyzing the influence of five variables contained in the deLone and Mclean information system success model (updated D &M IS Success Model) consisting of system quality variables, information quality, service quality, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The type of research used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this research is the employee of Immigration Office of Class II Non Immigration Checkpoint Pati which is also SISUMAKER users. This research uses total sampling which is all members of the population used as a sample. The samples in this research are 35 people. Data collected by questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results of the research showed that system quality had a positive and significant effect of 15.3% on user satisfaction, information qualityhad a positive and significant effect of 45.3% on user satisfaction, the service qualityhad a positive and significant effect on 26.4% on user satisfaction, and user satisfaction had a positive and significant effect of 28.2% on net benefits. Thus the four hypotheses proposed in this study were accepted. Based on the results of the research shows that in general SISUMAKER has been effective in supporting user’s work, especially in electronic correspondence activities at the Immigration Office of Class II Non Immigration Checkpoint Pati. Thus it is suggested that SISUMAKER system quality and menu need to be improved, integrate that system with user phone number and also add more features such as help center.
