Abstract

News Based Teaching. is a teaching material that contains news that is integrated with the results of exploring the biodiversity of Mount Ungaran. Teaching materials are prepared based on the results of the needs analysis. The results of the observations obtained data that the availability of learning resources used was not sufficient to achieve basic competencies.This study aims to develop valid and effective News Based Teaching Teaching materials for Mount Ungaran on cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning outcomes. The research method uses Research & Development (RnD) with 10 steps, namely: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4). validation of the design of News Based Teaching Materials, 5) revision I of Teaching Materials, 6) preliminary trials, 7) revision II of Teaching Materials, 8) trial use, 9) revision III of News Based Teaching Materials, 10) News Teaching Materials products Based Teaching. This research data includes: validity, practicality and effectiveness of cognitive, psychomotor and effective learning outcomes. The results showed: 1) the characteristics of the News Based Teaching teaching materials were compiled based on the results of the needs analysis, the results of exploration and news analysis on the Biodiversity of Mount Ungaran, 2) the teaching materials for the News Based Teaching on the Biodiversity of Mount Ungaran were valid and suitable for use as a learning resource with a percentage of 96 %, 3) the teaching materials of Mount Ungaran's News Based Teaching on Biodiversity are effective on cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning outcomes. on biodiversity material in high school.
