Abstract
Mathematical creativity is one of the greatest assets of a nation to process, create and transform innovative ideas from other fields into new fields. However, in some studies creativity rarely occurs in mathematics learning because there are still teachers who place logic as the single benchmark. In addition to disposition creativity also has an important role in learning, when students have a positive disposition it will have an impact on the way students see mathematics itself. In an effort to improve these two things, namely by using CPS learning with an open-ended approach because the learning stages can facilitate students to develop creative ideas and express opinions so that it will have an impact on students' perspective on mathematics. The objectives of this study were 1) to analyze the quality of CPS learning with an open-ended approach to students' mathematical creative thinking abilities; 2) to determine students' mathematical creative thinking skills in solving problems based on mathematical dispositions. The research method used in this study is a mix method with sequential explanatory model design, posttest control group design. The variables of this research are mathematical creative thinking skills and mathematical dispositions. Data collection using tests, questionnaires, observation and interviews. This research was conducted at SMP N 3 Pabelan. Quantitative samples were students of class VIII A and VIII C. The techniques of quantitative data analysis were t test, linear regression, and descriptive. Qualitative data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The results showed that the learning device was valid with a very good category, the students' creative thinking ability had reached mastery, the proportion of students who completed the creative thinking ability was more than 75%, the average creative thinking ability of the experimental class students was more than the control class, the effect of disposition on creative thinking ability of 25.9%. Students' creative thinking abilities in each category of disposition have similarities and differences. All disposition categories have fulfilled the fluency aspect. On the flexibility aspect, only students with high disposition category are fulfilled. From the subjects taken, it was obtained that students with high disposition categories had fulfilled three aspects of negative thinking skills, medium dispositions were two aspects of creative thinking skills, moderate disposition subjects could fulfill two aspects, and low dispositions had only one aspect.
