This study aims to analyze the feasibility, and effectiveness of research-based teaching materials on blood circulation learning towards students' critical thinking skills on blood circulation material. The development model used is a 4-D model. The 4-D (Four D) development model is a model of developing learning tools to measure critical thinking skills using pretest and posttest. Based on the research results of research materials based on research on blood circulation that is developed is feasible to be used to improve the critical thinking skills of students of SMP N 19 Semarang based on the evaluation of material expert validator with a score of 4 with good quality category, assessment of media expert validator 3.71 with good categories and results responses of students with a value of 3.11 with a good category. The application of research-based teaching materials on blood circulation is able to measure and identify aspects of critical thinking skills of students of SMP N 19 Semarang.
