Abstract

Based on observations and interviews at 3 State Junior High School of Ungaran obtained information that students are less actively participate in the learning process, so it is make they get low score. Starting from this problem, it is necessary to have a variety of interesting learning, innovative and involving students in active learning. One of the learning model that can involving students in active learning is guided inqury learning model assisted by terrarium media. This study aims to determine whether guided inqury learning model assisted terrarium media on ecosystem theme. The design of this research was a posttest control group design. The sample results are class VII A (experimental class) and VII B (grade control) at 3 State Junior High School of Ungaran. This research used documentation methods, test methods, observation method and questionnaire results. The data was analyzed by using the t-test using 5% as significance level, than get results that the tvalue= 2.43 and tdistributions=1,67, so it means that this results find out if the differences between experimental class and the grade control are statistically significant because tvalue>tdistributions. The average score of affective is 94,58% of experimen class, while control class is very high. The average score of psychomotor experiment class is very high. The overall results on the affective and psychomotor aspects score of experiment class is higher than control class. The result of students questionnaire responses, 34 students give a very good responses from 34 students in experimental class. The conclusion on the research is guided inqury learning model assisted by terrarium media of theme of ecosystem give positive effect on cognitive learning results and give positive effect in affective aspects and psycomotor aspects.
