Abstract

Hasil observasi di SMPN 1 Wanasari diperoleh informasi bahwa proses pembelajaran IPA kurang bisa meningkatkan keaktifan dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Berdasarkan informasi tersebut, maka diperlukan adanya strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan peahaman konsep siswa dan keaktifan siswa. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan yaitu strategi PAIKEM. Strategi PAIKEM adalah sebuah pembelajaran aktif inovatif kreatif efektif dan menyenangkan. Pembelajaran menggunakan strategi PAIKEM perlu adanya alat bantu pembelajaran supaya lebih efektif dan efisien. Alat bantu yang digunakan yaitu LKS berbasis Kontekstual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh strategi PAIKEM berbantuan LKS berbasis kontekstual pada pembelajaran IPA terhadap keaktifan dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah quasi-experimental desaign dengan bentuk Nonequivalent Control group desaign. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B (kelas kontrol) dan VIII A (kelas eksperimen) diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan metode tes. Pengaruh penerapan strategi PAIKEM terhadap pemahaman konsep dilihat dari hasil analisis korelasi biserial adalah 0,72123. Dengan besar koefisien determinasi sebesar 52%. Pengaruh penerapan strategi PAIKEM terhadap keatifan siswa dilihat dari peningkatan persentase keaktifan siswa yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase di setiap indikator. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penerapan strategi PAIKEM berbantuan LKS berbasis kontekstual berpengaruh positif terhadap keaktifan dan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP. The result of observation from Junior High School 1 Wanasari is learning process of IPA not enough to increase student activity and conceptual comprehension. Based on the information, it needs the strategy of learning to increase conceptual comprehension of student and their activity. One of the strategies are PAIKEM strategy. Strategy PAIKEM is a learning active inovaive creatif effektive and fun. Learning used PAIKEM strategy also needs media learning so that it will be more effective and efficient. The media learning is contextual student worksheet. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of PAIKEM strategy using contextual student worksheet as the learning of IPA toward conceptual comprehension. Design of the study is quasi-experimental desaign used Nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the study is grade VIII B (control class) and VIII A (experimental class), taken by purposive sampling techique. Metode of data collection that used is the method of observation and test methods. The influence of the PAIKEM strategy toward conceptua; comprehension. Looked from the result of biserial correlation analysis about 0,72123, the percentage of coefficient determination is about 52%. The influence of PAIKEM srategy toward student activity loked from the increasing of percentage of student activity shows the increasing of percentage in each indicators. According to the research result, it can be concluded that PAIKEM strategy using contextual student worksheet has positive influence toward student axtivity and conceptual comprehensian.
