Abstract

Setiap perusahaan pada prinsipnya membutuhkan modal untuk menjalankan kegiatan usahanya. Salah satu keputusan penting yang diambil adalah berkaitan dengan keputusan pendanaan atau keputusan struktur modal. Hal ini menyangkut berbagai pertimbangan untuk menggunakan dana dari sumber internal atau eksternal perusahaan. Struktur modal merupakan pembelanjaan permanen yang terdiri dari hutang dan modal sendiri. Struktur modal dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, diantaranya profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, aset tetap, dan pertumbuhan penjualan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, aset tetap, dan pertumbuhan penjualan terhadap struktur modal. Objek penelitian adalah UMKM Batik Tulis Lasem di Kabupaten Rembang yang terdaftar di Koperasi Batik Tulis Lasem tahun 2017. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, hasilnya diperoleh bahwa populasi memenuhi kriteria sampel yang telah ditentukan yaitu sebanyak 33 UMKM, sehingga unit analisis sebanyak 165. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS 20.0. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, ukuran perusahaan memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan variabel aset tetap berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Simpulan penelitian yaitu dari keempat hipotesis yang diuji, hanya satu hipotesis yang diterima yaitu aset tetap. Bagi investor sebaiknya memperhatikan ukuran perusahaan dan aset tetap dalam melakukan investasi, sedangkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi struktur modal seperti resiko bisnis dan hubungan dengan lembaga keuangan. In principle every company requires capital to run its business activities. One of the important decisions taken is related to funding decisions or capital structure decisions. This involves various considerations for using funds from internal or external sources of company. Capital structure is a permanent purchases that consist of debt and own capital. Capital structure can be influenced by various factors, including profitability, size of company, fixed assets, and sales growth. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of profitability, size of company, fixed assets, and sales growth on capital structure. The object of this research is SMES of Batik Tulis Lasem in Rembang Regency that registered in Lasem Handmade Batik Cooperatives 2017. The sample selection is done by using purposive sampling technique. The result is obtained that the population meet the specified sample criteria that is 33 SMES, so the unit of analysis is 165. This research uses descriptive statistic analysis technique and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 program. The results of this research indicate that the profitability variable has a negative effect and significant to capital structure, size of company has a negative effect and significant to capital structure, while fixed asset variable has a positive effect and significant to capital structure, sales growth has positive effect and insignificant to capital structure. The conclusion of the research is from the four hypotheses tested, only one hypothesis is accepted, it is fixed assets. Investors should consider the size of the company and fixed assets in investing, while for further research, can be used for exploring more about the factors that affecting capital structure such as business risk and relationship with financial institutions.
