Abstract

Sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) sebagai suatu bentuk satuan pendidikan merupakan semua program pendidikan di berbagai jenjang yang bertujuan untuk membantu anak didik mengembangkan kompetensinya ke arah suatu pekerjaan atau karir. Kompetensi yang dimilliki siswa dapat mendorong dan menunjang siswa untuk memilih program keahlian di SMK. Kompetensi inilah yang mendorong siswa terhadap pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi di SMK Negeri se Kota Semarang. Kebenaran argumen ini perlu dibuktikan melalui penelitian agar diperoleh jawaban yang akurat. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah: Apakah kompetensi siswa berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi di SMK Negeri se Kota Semarang?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh kompetensi siswa terhadap pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi di SMK Negeri se Kota Semarang. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa program keahlian akuntani di SMK Negeri se Kota Semarang sejumlah 754 orang. Sampel sebesar 261 orang di ambil secara proportional random sampling. Dalam penelitian ini ada dua variabel yaitu kompetensi siswa (X) dan pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi (Y). Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, studi pustaka, dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, diketahui tingkat kompetensi siswa termasuk dalam kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 81,9 %. Sementara pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi di SMK Negeri se Kota Semarang dalam kategori sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 85,2 %. Dari hasil analisis regresi sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y=10.927 + 0,335 X. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh kompetensi siswa terhadap pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi. Simpulannya adalah terdapat pengaruh kompetensi siswa terhadap pemilihan program keahlian akuntansi. Dari hasil penelitian ini peneliti menyarankan: siswa hendaknya lebih meningkatkan kompetensinya supaya dapat mengangkat citra SMK melalui Lomba Kompetensi Siswa (LKS) yang diselenggarakan kabupaten/ kota, provinsi, maupun nasional. Serta diharapkan ada penelitian lebih lanjut agar diperoleh kajian lebih mendalam terkait dengan kompetensi siswa, pemilihan program keahlian, maupun aspek lainnya. ---------------------------------------------------------> Vocational schools (SMK) as a form of education unit is all education programs at all levels that aim to help students develop competencies in the direction of a job or career. The truth of this argument needs to be proved through research in order to obtain accurate answers. The problems studied in this research is: Are students' competence influence the election program of accounting expertise in SMK in Semarang City?. This study aimed to determine whether there is influence students' competence on the election program of accounting expertise in SMK in Semarang City. The population is all students in vocational programs akuntani expertise Semarang City State a number of 754 people. The sample of 261 people taken by proportional random sampling. In this research, there are two variables, namely the competence of students (X) and the selection of program accounting expertise (Y). Methods of data collection using questionnaires, study libraries, documentation. Analysis of data using descriptive statistical techniques and simple regression analysis. Based on data analysis using descriptive statistics, known level of competence of students included in the high category that is equal to 81.9%. While the election program of accounting expertise in SMK State Semarang city in a very high category that is equal to 85.2%. From the results obtained by simple regression analysis equation Y = 10,927 + 0.335 X. T test results obtained at 4.338 tcount> ttable of 0.138 with probability 0.000 < α = 0.05%, which means that there is influence students' competence on the election program of accounting expertise. Based on the research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is influence students' competence on the election program of accounting expertise. From these results the researchers suggest: students should further enhance their competence in order to lift the image of vocational school through Student Competency Competition (LKS) held district, provincial, and national. And expected no further research in order to obtain more in-depth studies related to the competence of students, the selection of program expertise, and other aspects.
