Abstract

The object of vocational high school is create the graduates to ready to work, so the learning objective not only focused on cognitive aspect but also psychomotor aspect. Basic on beginning observation in SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga, the student creativity in instructional is so bad, the teacher applying learning lecturer based on contextual teaching and learning with teacher centered approach. The problem in this research is student creativity in the classroom is not real. To increasing student creativity in productive lessons researcher did classroom action research with applying group investigation models. The subject of research is students in X AP 3 SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga 2011/2012 academic year. This research is consists of two circle, a circle have four main activity, there are planning, act, observation, and reflection. Researcher using test evaluation in the final class, observation sheet to student, and activity of the teacher questionnaire with using models. The research shows the group investigation model can increasing student creativity in the classroom. The student creativity is increasing at I circle 70% and at II circle 85%. The averages learning outcomes at I circle is 7.9 with classical achievement 53%, and the averages at II circle is 8.8 with classical achievement 83%. Basic on questionnaire the teacher want to applying group investigation models in the other lessons because this models can increase student creativity and activity. Based on this research can concluded if application group investigation model can increase student creativity and learning outcomes in the productive lessons basic competence using telephone to communication in the X AP 3 SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga 2011/2012 academic year. Suggestions to this research are the teacher should not discriminate and divide students in heterogeneous groups of learning if it’s done in groups. If the teacher want to increase learning outcomes and the creativity of students then the teacher can apply the models of group investigation. Expected of advanced researchers to generalizing the conclude of this research and using activity of the teacher questionnaire which filled by a researcher not the students.
