Abstract

Learning innovation is also a necessity as an effort to support the development of the education quality, one of which is through science learning that is related to the capability of utilizing the technology and the application of 21st-century skills. Learning processes were arranged through e-module as to make it more efficient, easy to access, and reduce distribution costs. This study aimed to perceive the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the ethnoscience-based interactive e-module to enhance 5th grade students' learning motivation and learning outcomes. The research method using Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE’s development model namely Analyse, Desain, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. The data obtained are assessments and suggestions from media experts and material experts, assessments and suggestions from teachers and students, and self-assessments of motivation and student learning outcomes. Implementation of media trials is carried out by working on pre-test question sheets, conducting learning using e-module teaching materials, working on post-test question sheets, and providing assessments and suggestions for e-modules. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is (1) media feasibility analysis. (2) media practicality analysis (3) media effectiveness analysis. The research results show that (1) the characteristics of the ethnoscience-based e-module which was developed using Adobe Flash CS6 software, using Comic Sans MS, contains material on the human digestive system with an interactive design display. (2) feasibility based on experts with an average validity of 96.25% in the very valid category (3) practicality obtained an average score of 95% in the very practical category. (4) effectiveness based on N-Gain results shows a percentage value of 0.68% in the medium category. It can be concluded that the ethnoscience-based interactive e-module can enhance the 5th grade students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes
