Abstract

Based on discussions with several math teachers in some junior high schools in the sub rayon area of 7 cities of Semarang, computers were used only to display powerpoint in mathematics learning. But sometimes they are more comfortable using whiteboards, especially with learning that requires graphic illustrations, teachers rarely use computers. Therefore, to visualize the mathematical concepts required an application training program that can help the teachers. GeoGebra is the answer. GeoGebra, with its many features, can be used to visualize mathematical concepts as well as a tool for constructing mathematical concepts. An explorative mathematics lesson, where students can see the relationship between analytic and visual representations of a concept and between mathematical concepts. This community service activity begins with Geogebra utilization tutorial in mathematics learning for grades 7 and 8. Furthermore, teachers are asked to develop mathematics teaching materials by using Geogebra for grade 7 or 8. The final stage is the visit to 4 schools to see the utilization of Geogebra in the learning of mathematics
