Abstract
This study aimed to explore the effects of group guidance by using modeling technique to improve the student empathy from department of guidance and counseling of University. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of modeling technique for group. The experimental method is used in this study with pretest and multiple post-test group that involves the research subject as many as 7 who students with analysis of repeated one way ANOVA test. The results showed that the group guidance by using modeling technique can improve the student empathy. Understanding about the mechanisms, knowledge and experiences of empathy are basic for helping the students guidance and counseling who have a social behaviors for doing effective intervention.
