Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 13 Semarang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir logis dan motivasi belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media audio visual bermuatan etnosains. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan desain sequential explanatory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai ketuntasan berpikir logis klasikal siswa untuk kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 adalah sebesar 90% dan 87%. Penguasaan konsep siswa terhadap materi pada kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 sebesar 90% dan 89%. Hasil analisis posttest menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada kedua kelas eksperimen berada pada tahap kemampuan berpikir logis formal dan transisi. Motivasi belajar siswa berdasarkan data observasi menunjukkan kedua kelas eksperimen berkategori baik. Hasil analisis motivasi belajar siswa berdasarkan data angket menunjukkan kedua kelas eksperimen berkategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir logis siswa kelas eksperimen 1 dan 2 adalah sebesar 64% dan 59%. Hasil wawancara motivasi belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada kategori motivasi sangat baik mempunyai kemampuan berpikir logis yang baik. Siswa pada kategori motivasi belajar baik mempunyai kemampuan berpikir logis yang sedang. Sedangkan siswa pada kategori motivasi belajar cukup mempunyai kemampuan berpikir logis yang sedang. --- This research was conducted at SMP N 13 Semarang. The purpose of this research is to analyze the ability of logical thinking and student learning motivation on the contextual learning model assisted by audio visual media with ethnosciences. This research method is a method of research combinations (mixed methods) with sequential explanatory design. The results of this research show the value of mastery of students' classical logical thinking from experimental class 1 and 2 are 90% and 87%. Mastery of students' concept on the materials in experimental classes 1 and 2 are 90% and 89%. Results of posttest analysis show that the students in both experiment classes are in the stage of formal logical and transitional thinking ability. Student's learning motivation based on observation data show that the students in both experiment classes are in good category. The results of analysis students' learning motivation based on questionnaire data show that students in both experiment classes are in very good category. For the experimental class 2 obtained 80.3% included in good category. Result of the research also shows the influence of learning motivation to the students' logical thinking ability of experimental class 1 and 2 is 64% and 59%. The results of students motivation insterview show that students in the very good motivation category have a good logical thinking. Students in a good category of learning motivation have a medium logical thinking ability. At the same time, the students in the category of enough learning motivation have a medium logical thinking ability.
