A learning model is a pattern or design of teaching and learning activities that will
be applied to students to achieve learning objectives. Learning models in contemporary
education that are developed and applied to students have various types and
characteristics. This research aims to determine the use of learning models for physical
education subjects in public elementary schools in Talun District, Cirebon Regency.
This research is descriptive qualitative using a survey method, while the data
collection technique uses triangulation techniques: observation, interviews and
documentation. The research location was in Talun District, Cirebon Regency involving
9 physical education teachers at 9 state elementary schools consisting of: 1) SDN 1
Wanasaba Lor, 2) SDN 2 Wanasaba Lor, 3) SDN 1 Wanasaba Kidul, 4) SDN 2 Wanasaba
Kidul, 5 ) SDN 1 Kepongpongan, 6) SDN 1 Cempaka, 7) SDN 2 Cempaka, 8) SDN 1
Ciperna, and 9) SDN 2 Ciperna. The research was carried out for 39 days
The research results showed that public elementary school physical education
teachers in Talun District, Cirebon Regency used a variety of learning models, did not
use a particular learning model as a reference in the learning process and there was no
dominant learning model. In general, all physical education teachers use certain learning
models in the learning process. The types of learning models used by public elementary
school physical education teachers in Talun District, Cirebon Regency consist of:
cooperative learning, contextual teaching and learning, discovery learning, inquiry,
teams game tournament and project based learning. Each learning model used by
teachers can improve the cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning objectives of
physical education as well as the physical fitness of students.
The conclusion from this research is that the learning model in public elementary
schools in Talun District, Cirebon Regency varies depending on the condition of the
students, the school environment and looking at the facilities and infrastructure that the
school has. In this way, using certain learning models can improve students' learning
outcomes. Suggestions from this research are that physical education teachers can
maximize the use of learning models in schools by supporting schools in providing
adequate facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of learning in physical
education subjects and it is also directly proportional to The potential of students' talents
is channeled into achievements.
