Keywords: Method of Quantum Engineering Mind Maps, Conventional Methods, LearningAchievement Academic achievement is the result of learning achieved by students when they follow and do the work and learning activities. Result student learning is influenced by two factors, internal and external factors. Factors that become the focus of other research is the external factor is the method of learning. In this case, the learning method used is the technique quantum methods mind maps. The method quantum mind mapping techniques is a method to do by exploiting the potential of the human mind using the right brain and left brain simultaneously, to maximize the brain performance. This research aims to: understand the economics of learning whether the learning method quantum mind mapping techniques is more effective than economic learning with conventional learning methods on the principal subjects of material journal Economic adjustments to high school students of class XI Teuku Umar Semarang. Population in other research is a whole class XI Semarang SMA Teuku Umar Academic Year 2009/2010. With simple random sampling technique. The chosen sample is a social studies class as experimental group and two social studies as the experimental group were given instruction kontrol. Eksperimental group was given instruction by using mind maps and control group were given instruction by conventional methods. The study design was a randomized Control Group Pretest-posttest by using pre-test and control sample or control group. The difference is the control group in the design of this experiment, equivalent treatments groups by randomization, that is the subject chosen at random (given the symbol R). The conclusion of this research are: Application of economic learning with the learning method quantum mind mapping techniques is more effective than economic learning by using conventional methods.
