To answer question number three, the data in Appendix E3 were exposed, explained, and compared with the existing facts in the theory and background of the study. From the data analysis, this research concludes that 1) satire of man’s dream of using technology and its limitation really exists in August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rains; 2) there is only one type of satire appearing in the story that is Horatian Satire; 3) technology has some impacts toward the life of people such as making life easier in doing their daily tasks and in giving entertainment. Nevertheless, there are also some bad impacts such as pollutions, and the devastation of life. From the conclusions, it is suggested that we have to learn something from the advance of technology around us, and wisely consider its purpose and advantages or disadvantages for us and for the earth.
