Abstract
The art of calligraphy isa cherished legacy of islamic art throughout the ages. Today many scholars are very good at reading Arabic but still struggling with Arabic writing. The study is based on a researcher's curiosity about the practice of calligraphy at the mdta baitul 'ilmi surowiti, which has often won the calligraphy in porsadin. The research problem is: (1) how is the practice of calligraphy studies on fourth graders at the madrasah awaliyah baitul barowiti district gresik? (2) how is a evaluation of the results of calligraphic arts learning activities for fourth graders at the madrasah goya baitul, ilmi surowiti district gresik? (3) what are the factors behind and obstacles to the practice of calligraphic arts at the madrasah diniyah awaliyah barowiti district gresik? As for the purpose of this research: (1) to know the process of practicing calligraphic arts for fourth graders at the madrasah diniyah takemyah awaliyah barowiti district gresik; (2) to know the evaluation of the work assessments in the practice of calligraphy studies for fourth graders at the madrasah diniyah takumyah awaliyah barowiti barowiti baitul 'ilmi surowiti bailmi surowiti; (3) To know the factors and obstacles to the practice of calligraphy at the madrasah diniya takitul barowiti barowiti baitul barowiti baitul 'ilmi surowiti district gresik. The method used is a descriptive qualitative. The data-gathering techniques used were interviews, observations and document studies. The analysis of the data is the reduction of data, the presentation of data and the drawing of conclusions. The result of this study is that calligraphy studies produce works that amount to 4, which is excellent (86-95), good (76-85), enough (66-75), and less for grades under 66. The average score of the class is 78.9 which can be deduced that the work of class iv mdta baitul 'ilmi surowiti is well into category. Based on an evaluation of 23.5% or 4 excellent learners, 29.4% or 5 good learners, 47.1% or 8 good learners. For an extremely good and good work it is by way of the assessment for the grade of elementary age children. As for the underlying factor of learning is the existence of adequate means and infrastructure, the student spirit, the teacher's spirit, and the guardian support of a school activity. As for the disruptive factors of student discipline and parent circumstances. Advice to the school to maintain a good relationship with the parents, thus making it easier for the parents to give full confidence to the d school society.
