Abstract

Electrical energy plays an important role in the needs of today's life. Access to electrical energy in Indonesia until 2019 has reached 98.8%, but the realization of electricity consumption per capita in 2015 - 2019 has never reached the predetermined target. This study aims to determine the Factors Affecting Electric Energy Consumption in Indonesia 2015 - 2019. The research method used is Panel Data Regression Analysis with Fixed Effect Model approach. The data used is panel data for the period 2015 - 2019 with library study data collection techniques from related sources. The estimated variables are Per capita Income (X1) Average Electricity Price/Tariff (X2) Total Population (X3) and Electrification Ratio (X4) to Per capita Electricity Energy Consumption (Y). The estimation results show that the variables of Per capita Income, Population and Electrification Ratio have a positive and significant effect on Electric Energy Consumption in Indonesia, while the Electricity Price/Tariff variable has a negative and insignificant effect on electricity consumption in Indonesia. Taken together, Per Capita Income, Average Electricity Prices/Tariffs, Population and Electrification Ratios have an effect on Electric Energy Consumption in Indonesia. Suggestions in this study are that the government should increase the productivity of the national economy, the capacity of electrical energy generated, and equitable access to electricity. The community should reduce dependence on fossil energy and switch to technology fueled by electrical energy so that Indonesia's per capita electricity consumption increases.
