It was conducted at one of the elementary schools in Lampung. There were 16 students of sixth grade selected as subjects of the study. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative. To collect the data, the researcher used some techniques: an observation, questionnaire, and interview. The questionnaire and interview were intended to focus on students’ perception of the use of the drilling technique in learning pronunciation. Then, the observation and interview focused on the types of drilling techniques used by the teacher. The findings indicated that students had positive perceptions of the use of drilling technique in learning pronunciation. The participants perceived drilling technique as helpful, useful, and effective technique for helping students in learning pronunciation. Then, it influenced students’ interest and motivation in learning English with the help of the teacher’s pronunciation example in order they were able to pronounce English words correctly and well. In addition, there were two types of drilling techniques used by the teacher: repetition drill and substitution drill. Therefore, drilling technique could help the students in learning pronunciation.
