The researcher compiled this study using a phenomenological qualitative method because this research aims to interpret and explain the participants' experiences during online English learning during a pandemic phenomenon. This research has three indicators. The first indicator shows the results of 73% of senior high school participants and 74% of junior high school participants agreeing with a positive impression of online learning during the pandemic. The second indicator obtained results of 49% of high school participants and 57% of junior high school participants agreeing that there was progress during the implementation of online learning. The third indicator is that 69% of high school participants and 43% of junior high school participants agree that there are several obstacles when implementing online learning. These conclude that the senior high school and junior high school teachers and students think that the implementation of the online English learning system due to the Covid-19 pandemic has given a good impression to the participants to prevent the massive spread of the virus. Moreover, they feel that the implementation of online English learning for two years had had a positive impact on student learning outcomes, both in terms of understanding English material, discipline, and the experience gained during online learning. However, in addition to the positive impact of the implementation of online English learning, participants still encountered obstacles in performing an action of online learning for the last two years, both internal constraints, internal constraints of students or teachers, as well as external difficulties such as infrastructure and others.
