Abstract

The economic activity of a country cannot be separated from the role of banking as an intermediary institution, namely collecting and channeling funds to the public. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the performance of a bank so that people trust and are interested in making transactions at the bank. parameter to assess good or bad bank performance by looking at the profit growth rate. Increased profit growth reflection that the bank is able to maintain and improve its performance well and shows that the bank has high business continuity. This purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of CAR, BOPO, FDR, and NPF on profit growth of sharia commercial banks with firm size as moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the research population used being all Sharia Commercial Bank in Indonesia registered in the OJK for the 2017- 2021 period. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 45 units of analysis. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with panel data regression analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach and moderation regression analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach using EViews 10 software. The results showed that CAR and FDR had no effect on profit growth. However, BOPO and NPF have a negative effect on profit growth. Furthermore, firm size is not able to strengthen the effect of CAR, BOPO, FDR and NPF on profit growth. The conclusion from this research is that BOPO and NPF are proven to be able to influence profit growth, so investors need to consider these ratios before making investment decisions to minimize the risk of future losses. Further researchers can develop research by adding internal and external factors such as GCG, NI, NOM, inflation, and GDP. In addition, further research can expand the research population at other sharia financial institutions such as UUS and BPRS.
