Abstract

Problems solve whose role is very important to be developed in the world of education. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and knowing how learning with Project Based Learning models assisted by animation media in improving critical thinking skills and creativity of elementary school students. This research is quantitative in the form of a quasi-experimental. The population in this study were fourth grade elementary school students in Mejobo subdistrict. The sample of this research is the fourth grade students of SDN 4 Mejobo as the experimental class and the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Mejobo as the control class. Research data were collected by conducting observations and written tests to students. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test and N-gain test. The results of the study show the following: (1) there is an effect of Project Based Learning learning model assisted by animation media on students' critical thinking skills (viewed from 100% of students completing the posttest, the average critical thinking ability of students is more than the KKM, and an increase in pretestposttest which significant with a large increase of 33%). (2) there is an effect of Project Based Learning learning model assisted by animation media on students' creativity results (as seen from 96% of students completing the posttest, the average student creativity is more than KKM, and a significant increase in pretest-posttest with a large increase of 33%). The results showed that the application of animation-assisted Project Based Learning was effective in improving critical thinking skills and creativity of elementary school students. Based on the results of these studies, it is hoped that this research can be presented as a basis for development in improving critical thinking skills and creativity of elementary school students.
