Abstract
Foreign Direct Investment plays an important role in economic growth, especially in developing countries. Emerging market countries such as China have experienced very rapid economic growth in recent decades. This progress began with the entry of foreign direct investment, but ASEAN is different. As a region with a majority of emerging countries, ASEAN needs to be a concern. This study aims to determine the determinants of foreign direct investment and its effect on economic growth in ASEAN. The research method used is Panel Data Regression Analysis with Fixed Effect Model approach. The data used is panel data for the period 2001 - 2020 with library study data collection techniques from related sources. The estimated variables are Exchange Rate (X1) Tax (X2) Inflation (X3) and Corruption (X4) to Foreign Direct Investment (Y) The estimation results show that the Nilai Tukar and Pajak variables have a positive and insignificant effect on Foreign Direct Investment in ASEAN. Inflasi variable has a negative and significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment. Korupsi has a positive and significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment.
