The design of this research was correlational research. The population of this research is the eleventh grade students of SMAN 3 Pati in the academic year of 2022/2023 with a total of 423 students. While the research sample selected was two classes with a total of 72 students. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and oral tests. Where the questionnaire is used to determine the level of students’ self-confidence and oral tests are used to determine the level of students' speaking ability. The data were then analyzed quantitatively using Pearson's Product Moment Formula with the help of SPSS 25. The results of the study found that the level of students' self-confidence was at a good level, because most of the students were in the average category (66.67%), while the level of students' speaking ability was quite good, with most of the students in the average category (37.50%). Furthermore, the results of data analysis using SPSS 25 showed that there was a correlation between students' self-confidence and speaking ability with a significant value (0.000 <0.05), and at the medium correlation level with a Pearson Product Moment correlation value of 0.599 (r = 0.599). It can also be concluded that there is a significant correlation between selfconfidence and students' speaking ability.
