Abstract
Read understanding is Wrong One aspect ability must speak mastered by student school base especially student class IV SDN Facts in the field show that method learning used Not yet capable increase ability read understanding . Still There is students are even must read new many times understand content what he read And lack of teacher's attention to application method effective learning resulted student not enough in understand content reading especially in read understanding. By because it, researcher give solution form application something method effective learning And in accordance characteristics students at SDN. As for method selected learning, ie Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) method and method Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Study This aim For know difference effectiveness DRTA and CIRC methods against ability read understanding based on interest read student school basic. Design in study This is quasi experiment Sample study This is ability read understanding student class IV SDN 1 as class experiment 1, and student class IV SDN 2 as class experiment 2. Class experiment 1 is given treatment with DRTA models and class experiment 2 was given treatment with CIRC Instruments models data collection used in study This is instrument test And notes . in the form questionnaire interest read And documentation . Technique data analysis used are paired samples t test and tow way ANOVA with level significance a <( 0.05). Results study This are (1) Usage DRTA method is effective used on learning read understanding based on interest read student fourth grade elementary school. It proven on student interested read tall mark average testing t-test ie t count = -11.396> t table 1.729 and mark significance = 0.000 < 0.05 . On student interested read low mark average tester t count -8,164> t table 1,796 with mark significance =0.000 < 0.05 . (2) Usage CIRC method is effective used on learning read understanding based on interest read student fourth grade elementary school. it _ proven on student interested read tall mark average testing t-test ie t count value -8.200> t table 1.725 with mark significance = 0.000 < 0.05 . On student interested read low mark average tester t arithmetic t count value -8.444> t table 1.812 with mark significance = 0.000< 0.05 . (3) Application CIRC method on learning read understanding more effective than good DRTA method on student interested read tall nor interested read low with average a total increase of 0.48 categories medium. Suggestions submitted is educator can apply method DRTA learning and CIRC method as Wrong One repair in learning read understanding based on interest read student . Need exists more research carry on For test effectiveness DRTA method and CIRC based method interest read.
