Abstract

At the SMK level majoring in Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL) there are basic competencies in building a lighting installation control system (smart building). In basic competencies, trainers for power installations, lighting installations and integrated control installations are needed. But in fact the trainer has not been developed yet. This research aims to develop, analyze the feasibility and analyze the effectiveness of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) trainer kit with Internet of Things (IoT) control. The research method used is a quantitative research approach with the RnD method with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires and questions. The questionnaire is used to determine the feasibility of the media by media experts and material experts. While the questions are used to measure the increase in student competence before and after being given treatment. The results of the feasibility study showed that the trainer kit effectiveness of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) trainer kit with Internet of Things (IoT) control received a score of 87% from media experts and 88% by material experts so that both were categorized as very feasible. Then in the t test, the average pre-test score was 58.4 and the post-test value was 76.16. Then the calculated t value is -7.79 and the t table value is 2.00. Thus it can be concluded that -7.79<2.00<7.79 so h0 is accepted. Suggestions from researchers are expected to support practicum learning that schools should facilitate with the availability of adequate trainers. In future research it is expected to examine the development of Internet Of Things (IoT) trainers, especially SCADA systems.
