Abstract

The development of mathematical creative thinking skills as one of the goals of national education has not been maximally achieved because the learning strategies designed do not adapt to the various thinking styles of students. Therefore, this study aims to describe the implementation of an open ended project based e- learning model, describe the effect of self-regulated learning (SRL) components consisting of metacognitive, motivational, and behavioristic on mathematical creative thinking skills, analyze mathematical creative thinking processes, and describe the improvement of mathematical creative thinking. and differences in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities for each Gregorc's thinking style in the open ended project based e-learning model. Gregorc's thinking style consists of: concrete sequential (SK), abstract sequential (SA), concrete random (AK), and abstract random (AA). This research was conducted on high school students on vector material. The research design is sequential exploratory where the collection and analysis of qualitative data is followed by quantitative. The research subject selection technique was purposive sampling where 3-5 students were selected for each thinking style, while the sample was taken using stratified sampling where students were grouped based on their thinking style. Indicators of mathematical creative thinking skills that must be achieved by students are fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality through open ended project based e-learning. Students from various Gregorc thinking styles generally have the same mathematical creative thinking process which consists of several stages, namely: preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. However, students in each Gregorc style have different activities at each stage of mathematical creative thinking. The SRL component has a positive effect on students' mathematical creative thinking skills in each of Gregorc's thinking styles. The results showed that there were no differences in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in each thinking style with the open ended project based e-learning. Increasing students' mathematical creative thinking skills in each thinking style with an open ended project based e-learning model is included in the high category.
