Abstract
Critical thinking ability is an important ability that students must have to achieve educational goals. Through critical thinking, students will have a high curiosity, so that it can increase learning activities and affect cognitive learning outcomes. Learning problems that occurred in the biology subject in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganom show that the learning process is still centered on the teacher, students' low critical thinking ability and activities, minimum usage of learning media and the material of human excretory system cannot be sensed directly. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze students’ achievement of critical thinking skills, cognitive learning outcomes and learning activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' critical thinking skills, cognitive learning outcomes, learning activities and to know students' responses to the use of interactive flipbook media. The type of this research is Quasi Experiment with post-test only control design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The instrument that is used consists of (1) critical thinking test in the form of description questions, (2) cognitive learning outcomes tests in the form of multiple choice questions, (3) students' activity observations sheet, and (4) student response questionnaire. The subjects of this study are the students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 6 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 as the control class. Data analysis for critical thinking abilities data, student cognitive learning outcomes and student responses are descriptive statistical analysis techniques (%). The data analysis technique that is used to analyze the implementation of students' activity is descriptive analysis. The results showed: (1) The level of achievement of critical thinking skills on each indicator in learning the material of the human excretory system using interactive flipbook media can be achieved well, (2) The level of achievement of cognitive learning outcomes categories (C4, C5 and C6) in learning material The human excretory system using interactive flipbook media can be achieved well, (3) Learning activities that arise and are carried out in the learning process of human excretory system material using interactive flipbook media are visual activities, oral activities, and listening activities, and (4) Use of flipbook media interactively get a positive response from students.
