Abstract
Animal tissue structure chapter is chapter that requires an earlier understanding of the macroanatomy of animal organs. So far the learning media used at SMA N 2 Pati is quite good, in the form of textbooks and other media such as the internet, PowerPoint, and other sources. However, there are no specific learning resources related to animal tissue. Many and varied learning resources make it difficult for students to visualize in their minds about animal tissue chapter. The textbooks used for study of animal tissue chapter present a few pictures and contain more reading. There are also constraints in practical activities, namely limited tools, materials, and time. Students cannot repeat practical activities at home. Therefore, other learning media such as Histology Atlas are needed as a supplement to make it easier for students to understand the concept of animal tissue chapter. This study aims to analyze the characteristics, validity, and feasibility of the System-based Histology Atlas as a supplement for learning animal tissue chapter. The design of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with potential and problem steps, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision and product for learning. The research subjects were students of class XI SMAN 2 Pati, with 16 students and 2 teachers. Data collection methods include interviews, material and media validation questionnaires, and feasibility test questionnaires (teachers and students). The results showed that the product developed was in the form of a Histology Atlas containing histological images of organs, colored in the order according to the system in the body of living things, the validity of the material in the very valid category (90.17%), media validation with the very valid category (97.66%), and data on teacher 1 and teacher 2 response are 88.33% and 81.66%, and students are 85.20% with a very decent category. This research can be concluded that the System-based Histology Atlas has the characteristics of containing pictures of animal tissue, colored, in the order according to the system in the body of living things and it is valid and suitable to be used as a supplement for learning animal tissue chapter in high school.
