Abstract

This study aims to know the types and levels of the elements in solid waste foundry industry done in the Village District Pesarean Gutters Tegal regency. Solid waste with a pungent smell very disturbing residents in the surrounding industrial area. Solid waste samples taken at two different places to sample the first place are still in rough form directly discharged into the environment and second place for the samples that have been in fine form that has been sifted. X­ray flourescence method used for qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis to determine the elements contained in the sample while the quantitative analysis to determine the levels contained in the sample. The results showed that in this solid waste contained heavy metals such as Fe identified, Cu, Zn, Pb and Zr. Levels of each element in a row (from 2.43 to 3.30) .10­4ppm, (0.17 to 0.6) .10­4 ppm (4.23 to 5.35) .10­4 ppm (1.36 to 9.97) .10­4 ppm and (2.99 to 6.18) .10­7 ppm.
