Abstract

The development of technology has made many changes in various fields and sectors of human activity. Excessive use of technology such as computers can cause health problems because in addition to displaying images and text on the computer monitor being used, it also emits radiation and electromagnetic waves that cannot be detected by the eye's senses. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of computers on the level of electromagnetic radiation and health impacts. The results of the study on the level of electromagnetic radiation generated by several numbers of computers showed that the electromagnetic radiation was 0.037 mT to 0.051 mT. The radiation level of internet cafes in Jatibarang village with 7 computers is still relatively safe for humans or internet cafe users.
