Abstract

Kutowinangun Kidul Village with its regional potential is able to develop plastic waste management activities independently, this is driven by the sosial capital faktor in the area. The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the existing social capital in the Kutowinangun Kidul sub-district in the management of plastic waste. This study uses a qualitative method. The location of this research is Kutowinangun Kidul Village, Tingkir District, Salatiga City. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data obtained from primary and secondary data sources. Test the validity of the data in this study using triangulation. The analysis technique uses data analysis developed by Miles and Hukerman. The findings in this study include that the sosial capital in the Kutowinangun Kidul village in plastic waste management is strong enough so that plastic waste management activities can continue to run well. Therefore, the suggestion in this research is that existing sosial capital must be strengthened and maintained so that plastic waste management activities in Kutowinangun Kidul village continue to survive and develop.
