Abstract

In this era of industrial revolution 4.0, the challenge of preparing human resources (HR) who are able to compete in the global world is getting bigger and more competitive. College graduates are expected to be able to face this challenge with the skills they have. They should also be ready to work. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of 21st Century Skill on job readiness for students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang, batch of 2017. The population in this study was students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang, batch of 2017. The number of samples in this study were 217 respondents. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. This research approach is quantitative research. The method of data collection is a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques were performed by descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results show that there is an influence between creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication with the work readiness of students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Class of 2017. The influence of creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication simultaneously on work readiness is 43.8%. Partially, the creativity variable has an influence of 30.1%, the critical thinking variable has an influence of 36%, the collaboration variable has an influence of 35.7%, the communication variable has an influence of 37.5%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence between creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication on the work readiness of students of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang. The students should improve work readiness with the skills they have so that they can face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0.
