Abstract

Entrepreneurship intention is a desire and sense of individual interest to see opportunities by using creative and innovative abilities in creating business ideas that he does with the courage to face risks in order to meet the needs of life without any compulsion in running a business. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, and self-efficacy both partially and simultaneously on the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there is an influence between entrepreneurial knowledge and self-efficacy on the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurship boarding schools in Kudus Regency. The population in this study were santri students at entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency, totaling 164 santri students, with a sample of 116 santri students with the criteria of santri students residing in Islamic boarding schools, students living under the rules of Islamic boarding schools, Islamic boarding schools that have entrepreneurship programs, and santri students who have an interest in entrepreneurship by having or currently running a business. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and document studies. The analytical method used is Descriptive Analysis, Classical Assumption Test and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The result of this study indicate that: (1) The entrepreneurial knowledge has an influence on the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency, while the effect is positive and significant. (2) The self-efficacy has an influence on the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency, while the effect is positive and significant. (3) The entrepreneurial knowledge and self-efficacy have an influence on the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that entrepreneurial knowledge and self-efficacy affect the entrepreneurship intention of santri students in entrepreneurial boarding schools in Kudus Regency. Suggestions that can be given are to provide a briefing through an activity such as an entrepreneurship workshop by the Islamic boarding school, increasing relationships and experiences regarding the business world, and changing the mindset of students from job seekers to job makers.
