Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the appraisal framework of attitude in students’ application letters, especially in 12th-grade students of SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. This research analyzed the appearance of attitude in the appraisal framework and used descriptive qualitative as the research design. This research identified how 12th-grade students of SMK Negeri 7 Semarang expressed their feeling in writing application letters which is part of the material that should be learned in 12th grade. The collection of data was done in the middle of Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) UNNES event. The data analyzed each domain of attitude; affect, judgment, and appreciation. This research implied the predominance appearance of attitude is affect by 78,3% followed by judgment with 12,4% and appreciation with 9,3%. By looking at the result, it can be implied that students’ application letters are good enough and have been explained the intention of writing the application letters.
