Abstract

This study aims to find significant results from using the TikTok application as a medium for online English learning in English Departments students 6th semester at Universitas Negeri Semarang. This research uses survey qualitative research. The participants of this study were 45 6 th -semester students majoring in English language and literature at Universitas Negeri Semarang. Researchers used questionnaires as instruments to collect data. The findings show that students' perceptions of using the TikTok application as a media to support online English learning are generally positive. The TikTok application is perceived to be effectively used as a medium to support online English learning. This finding reveals the advantages of the TikTok application as a medium to support English learning such as TikTok makes students feel happy. However, the findings also reveal that the use of the TikTok app also has disadvantages such as the TikTok app cannot be accessed when students do not have internet access
