Abstract

This final project was a study about the students’ perception on the use of TikTok Application in pronunciation learning, especially at SMAN 13 Semarang. The objective of this study was to find out the students’ perception whether it was positive or negative on the use of TikTok Application in pronunciation learning at SMAN 13 Semarang, this study was employed qualitative survey design in which the data of the students’ perception on the use of TikTok Application in pronunciation learning were obtained by questionnaire and interview. This study shared questionnaires with students who have the TikTok Application. The questionnaire was a close-ended question. Thirty-two students of SMA Negeri 13 Semarang were the participants of this study. The findings are presented into five parts; they are Students' Intentions regarding the Use of the TikTok Application in Pronunciation Learning, Students' perceptions (perceived usefulness) on the use of the TikTok application in pronunciation learning, Students’ Perception of the Ease of Using the TikTok Application in Pronunciation Learning, Students' Anxiety in Using the Tiktok Application in Pronunciation Learning, and also Students' Attitudes Towards The Use of the Tiktok Application in Pronunciation Learning. Based on the result of the study 85.1% of students gave a positive perception about the TikTok Application. The students believe that the TikTok App is a useful, clear, and understandable platform to do pronunciation learning and provide some positive impacts such as increasing knowledge about pronunciation accuracy, making TikTok users aware that the Application has educational content, and helping them make it easier to understand the material through short videos
