Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Learning Styles of Local Tour Guides at Senggigi beach, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Specifically, the objectives of this study are to find out the kinds of learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic). The first one is Kinds of learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) as performed by tour guides at Senggigi beach to explore the challenges faced by tour guides and how they solve the problems. To explore this issue, eight local tour guides are purposively selected as the samples of this study. Survey and in-depth interview done to each of the tour guide. The data were analyzed descriptively to see the learning styles of tour guides. The results showed that there is one tour guide who has visual learning style, four tour guides who have auditory learning style, three tour guides who have kinesthetic learning style. There are two problems faced by tour guide at Senggigi beach related to; grammar and pronunciation. This study recommends that it is important for the tour guides to practice grammar and pronunciation regularly based on their own learning style.
